Kate Garraway asked to 'forgive' Oliver Dowden after GMB blunder 'One of those mornings!'

“It is disappointing though for anyone under 50 that is now going to have to wait longer for their vaccinations than they might have otherwise done,” Hawkins said.

“Can you just clear up what is behind this issue with supply because the Prime Minister pointed to the fact there was a delay for various technical reasons.

“But we know that India’s Foreign Minister has told the parliament there that vaccine export conditions are based on the assessment of adequate availability at home. So is it to do with the Indian Government not wanting to release these supplies to us at the moment?”

“No, the Indian Government hasn’t blocked the export of this vaccines, there have been challenges at the Serum Institute and they’ve done a fantastic job, the volumes of vaccines they’ve produced is amazing. We will get this vaccine, it won’t interrupt the overall flow,” Dowden replied.

Good Morning Britain airs on ITV on weekdays at 6am.
