Man, woman shot while driving on Bronx highway, NYPD says

A man and a woman were shot by the driver of a Range Rover on a Bronx highway Sunday morning, cops said.

Gunshots rang out at about 5 a.m. on the Major Deegan Expressway, leaving the 27-year-old woman, who was driving a Mercedes SUV, in critical condition with a bullet to the back, cops said.

The 35-year-old man, who was in a Ford Edge, was shot in the legs, cops said. The driver of a Range Rover is believed to have fired the bullets, police said.

The woman was taken to Harlem Hospital in critical condition and the man went to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

There were no immediate arrests.
