Production on the sixth and final season of Lucifer is officially winding down. Filming on the Netflix series began again just a few short months ago after being delayed by the outbreak of coronavirus, but principal star Lesley-Ann Brandt has recently confirmed she has just had her final wardrobe fitting for her fan favourite character, the demon bounty hunter Mazikeen.
Lucifer regular Lesley-Ann Brandt recently had her last ever fitting for the show’s sixth and final season on Netflix.
Brandt will return alongside Tom Ellis and Lauren German in the popular fantasy drama’s final instalment in the near future, following the second half of season five coming soon.
The South African actress has portrayed Mazikeen, also known as Maze, the demonic best friend of Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) since the show’s inception on Fox in 2016.
She took to Twitter to confirm the news with an emotional farewell to Maze and gave thanks to her costume designers, Agata Maszkiewicz and Sabrina Burns.

“I mean, all of you, the cast, the crew, pretty much everyone involved in the show. You guys are awesome! I’m gonna miss Maze but I’m glad I can rewatch the show and always see her.”
‘Lucifans’ are certainly in for an emotional rollercoaster when Maze finally returns.
The demon had just defected to Lucifer’s devious twin brother, Michael, as part of her ongoing mission to find herself a soul.
Unfortunately, last year’s midseason finale left viewers with several unanswered questions, and it remains unknown when the series will return.
Filming for Lucifer’s sixth season began in October, once the cast and crew had finished work on the delayed fifth season finale.
With the cast and crew now confirming the end of production is in sight, fans are hoping a release date for the coming episodes will soon follow.
Netflix’s latest schedule has sadly revealed the final eight episodes of Lucifer season five won’t be released in March.
Season 5a wrapped up in August, with the show’s staggered release allowing more time for Lucifer’s team to recover and get back to set amid the first outbreak of coronavirus.
Now the schedule has more or less returned to normal, it’s hoped an announcement for the show’s impending return will be released shortly after filming for season six is complete.
