Brooke Burke shares the workout she does every day to stay in shape

Brooke Burke is in incredible shape especially considering she is in her forties and it may be because she is always altering her workout routine to keep it fun.

The Dancing With The Stars veteran told DailyMail.com this week that she has included a new routine into her workout sessions during lockdown from the COVID-19 pandemic: walking.

The Skechers spokesperson shared that even walking 20 minutes a day can help not just with keeping the weight off, but also with mental health. ‘Don’t get in a pandemic rut,’ the mother-of-four shared. ‘The more you move, the more you want to move. It’s all about the action, the movement. Even 20 minutes a day helps out.’

Brooke said she does a lot of different things during her workout routine, and a 45 minute walk is included.

‘It is my escapism,’ the fitness expert said.

‘I love to get out and walk and am really blessed with good weather in Southern California. I love to walk in my neighborhood, I get to say hello to my neighbors, it’s a good social plus.

‘I walk with my children and my boyfriend and we love the fresh air, the Vitamin D we get. The movement feels great too.’

And she loves both walking on the beach and in the mountains.

‘Both are just as beautiful. I like to take my dogs to the mountains and they get to run around,’ she added.

She also urged people to get in the mood: ‘Just get up, put your shoes on and get out there. Once you have your shoes on you tend to get in the mindset for a walk.’

There is also a lot one can do when on a walk.

Brooke tells DailyMail.com she likes to listen to audio books and music, and she even takes conference calls but ‘sometimes silence is the best to reset.’

And when she is walking with her kids, they have a catch up: ‘It’s nice to talk and walk with my kids with no devices.’

Brooke has four children: Neriah, 20, Sierra, 18, Heaven, 14, and Shaya, 12.

Her shoes of choice are Skechers because they are ‘comfortable, they are super supportive, they have 20 years of data in their insole, and I love the colors, they are fun.’

Brooke also has an app called Brooke Burke Body that shares several workout tips one can do inside their home.

According to a recent survey conducted on Skechers behalf by YouGov on walking trends since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, over four out of five Americans (86 percent) currently go on walks and the most important factors for consumers when taking walks are comfortable shoes and clothing.

Skechers is partnering with Burke to highlight the health benefits of walking daily and why she personally wears Skechers Arch Fit shoes on her daily walks.

According to the survey, over half (56 percent) of Americans have a goal to walk more in 2021, with 74% of those who have been walking more since the Covid-19 outbreak began are planning to keep it up in the New Year.

Walks have become a refuge for many Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic, with many taking walks to get out of their home or escape those they live with.

Over half of walkers (54 percent) take walks to get out of the house while 17 percent do it to get away from the people they live with. 15 percent take walks to take breaks from work/school throughout the day.

Just over three out of five (61 percent) typically take walks by themselves.: 93 percent of walkers say wearing comfortable shoes is important to them when taking a walk while 92 percent say the same about comfortable clothing.

Developed with over 20 years of data, Arch Fit shoes are equipped with a removable, supportive cushioning insole system that provides a more comfortable walking experience.
