However, Mr Drakeford noted that the UK’s coronavirus situation is unpredictable and nobody can be sure what the future holds, especially since Easter is weeks away.
“Six weeks is a very long time in the business of dealing with coronavirus, so we will have to make that final assessment much closer to the time,” the First Minister explained.
He added: “Three weeks will be the most notice we will be able to [give the self-catering businesses]. We’re on a three-week cycle here in Wales, as we have been throughout.”
Mr Drakeford said that in three weeks’ time, the Welsh Government will review their regulations again, saying: “There will be another review right at the very end of March.”
