A newlywed couple from South Korea are undergoing counselling after they discovered the one-way glass at their five-star hotel was see-through and guests had seen them naked.
The unnamed couple had been on their honeymoon at the Grand Josun Jeju Hotel, on the island of Jeju, the largest island in South Korea, when they discovered the mirrored windows inside the hotel’s sauna were visible to guests on the outside.
The husband, who later posted a complaint about the £520-a-night hotel, claimed that his wife had used the second-floor sauna on several occasions during their stay and had not used a towel after staff told them the windows were mirrored.
Local police received a complaint February 13 and said they would be checking CCTV footage, The Korean Times reports.

In an online thread, the husband claimed he and his wife had been taking a walk around the hotel on their last day when they made realised the sauna’s interior was visible.
‘While taking a walk around the hotel on the last day of our stay, we discovered the interior was visible from the outside. We could even see the writing on a thermometer inside the sauna’, The Korean Times quotes the man as saying.
‘My wife and I are currently undergoing psychotherapy as we were so shocked after realising that we had taken a shower and used the bathroom that was visible from the outside,’ the man added.
When the couple confronted bosses at the hotel they were told that staff had not pulled down the blinds ‘by mistake’.

The newlyweds claimed that the one-way glass had also not been used for the hotel’s shower booths and bathrooms and that staff refused to notify other guests about the incident.
In a message on the hotel’s website, Josun Hotels & Resorts said: ‘We deeply apologise for causing inconvenience to customers due to the omission of glass barrier coatings … in some areas of the women’s sauna’.
A spokesperson from Josun Hotels & Resorts told The Korean Times: ‘We have so far used the blinds flexibly in accordance with the time and weather, but (following the incident) we changed our policy to pull down the blinds at all times.’
The official also said the hotel was cooperating with the police in their investigation.
