Despite the insurmountable odds facing the series, Hawley claimed every member of the cast was able to rise to the challenge.
He explained: “We showed the eight episodes to the cast, which meant when they showed up they knew exactly what they were doing and where they left off.
“Everyone was so desperate and eager to get back and finish it, we were asking a lot of people to jump through hoops just to do a day’s work.”
As one of the first series to kick start filming again last summer, Fargo was able to pave the way for other shows to realise safe production could be a possibility.
