Matt Groening draws mask-wearing Homer Simpson for his old high school’s fundraiser

They’re hoping to raise lots of D’oh!

Matt Groening has drawn a special picture of a mask-wearing Homer Simpson to help his old Oregon high school’s annual fundraiser.

“The Simpsons” creator donated the 30 ins by 22 ins sketch of his most famous character wearing a mask covered in his catchphrase, “D’oh!”

“Go, Lincoln High School! Safe, safe!” he wrote in red, signing it, “Your pal, Matt Groening, class of 1972.”

The Portland school listed the pic’s value as “priceless,” although as of Tuesday the highest bid was $1,500. Bidding ends Friday.

“Lincoln alum Matt Groening brings Homer along on the wild pandemic ride in a new collector’s drawing that captures ‘Covid times’ in a way only the Simpsons creator could,” the auction listing states.

“Whether you’re a Simpsons’ fan or not, this piece will likely play a part in the inevitable and great Groening and Pandemic retrospectives of the future.”
