Sophie Wessex and Kate Middleton 'saved Queen from royal rift and Megxit turmoil' – expert

Sophie officially joined the Royal Family upon her marriage to Prince Edward, 56, in 1999 just two years after Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car crash.

During the 90s the Queen also had to deal with a string of royal divorces including Princess Diana and Charles’s split in 1996 and Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s divorce that same year.

Judi claimed the Countess of Wessex helped the Queen ‘heal’ from these ruptures.

Kate, on the other hand, was caught up in the reported rift between her husband Prince William, 38, and his younger brother Harry, 36.
