Emma Willis left stunned as she discovers parents' 'worrying' habit live on Loose Women

Emma Willis, 44, hosted Loose Women today and asked her fellow panellists Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams their thoughts on the topic. The presenter began by saying her husband Matt Willis found it cringe if it’s said away from their children, but went on to explain she knew a couple who called each other mummy and daddy, despite their child being a newborn.

Jane said she also wasn’t a fan of the term being used if children weren’t in sight.

“I’d be horrified,” she revealed.

Agreeing, Emma said she uses the term as a joke as her spouse doesn’t like it.

Much to her dismay, the show anchor then received a text from The Voice host’s sister, who revealed their parents use the term with each other.

“I thought they’ll bounce back, they don’t really… you know, yes it will be different, but it won’t be that much different.

“But, it’s only now I can see them pining to go back to school.

“They want to be around other children, and my eldest, she’s getting a bit more anxious and her sleep is really being affected.”

Emma’s appearance on the show today was her first in five years.

Fans have since called for her to be a permanent fixture on the afternoon programme.
