Dawn is remembered to many for her role of Mary Ann in the sitcom Gilligan’s Island which followed a group of seven unlikely people trying to survive on a remote tropical island after they were cast away.
The series first aired in 1964 with Dawn’s character having become known for her youthful naïve charm.
Talking of her role, Dawn previously told Smashing Interviews magazine: “Mary Ann was a good girl. She was polite. She was a hard worker.
“She would be your best friend. She cooked. She cleaned. She did all of those things, and she was a really good role model.
