Tess Daly, 51, chose a purple dress for tonight’s show, and Strictly Come Dancing fans were quick to provide their thoughts of the look on Twitter. While Claudia seemed to escape attention in her safe suit, Tess went out on a limb with a vibrant purple number.
Some fans were scathing about the outfit, with one writing: “Tess Daly coming as everyone’s favourite Quality Street #StrictlyComeDancing”.
Another picked up on the Quality Street look of her dress, and said: “Tess Daly looks like the Purple One out of a tin of Quality Street. #StrictlyComeDancing”.
Others offered more general criticism, and one said: “Good grief, @TessDaly……. you really, really need to get a different stylist….. that is a shocking frock! #Strictly”.
Another viewer asked: “Who the hell dresses Tess Daly?”

But most fans were gushing in their praise of the presenter and her purple look.

Fans will often comment on what Tess is wearing, and one look of hers in particular has sent fans wild on this year’s Strictly.
At the start of November, Tess wore the Reiss Belinda Tux Detail Halterneck Jumpsuit. The black piece costs £225 from the high street retailer.
The dress has a tuxedo-style halter neck body without sleeves.
The former-model turned TV presenter may have pulled of her best fashion look of all time that night, high praise indeed.

Tess added long danging gold earrings to the look that sparkled in her hair.
Her engagement and wedding ring could be seen sparkling on her finger.
