“They told me there were ghosts in this particular place and when I went the toilet with a candle – as there was no electricity – they waited for me to come out and then jumped out on me,” Ruthie explained.
She continued: “I screamed the place down! They were hilarious.”
Knowing that she would be unable to continue as an actress if their romance continued, the I’m A Celebrity contestant eventually parted ways with the royal. However, the pair are said to have remained good friends.
The actress went on to marry singer Tim Howar and they welcomed two daughters together before their divorce in 2009.
