CHISINAU (Reuters) – Opposition candidate Maia Sandu, who favours closer ties with the European Union, was ahead in the second round of Moldova’s presidential election on Sunday, according to exit polls that put her on 54.8% of votes compared to 45.2% for incumbent Igor Dodon.
