Space Force season 2 release date, cast, trailer, plot: When is series back?

Space Force fans will be delighted to know the show has been confirmed for a season two return on Netflix. Ahead of its release, Express.co.uk has all you need to know about the release date, cast, trailer and plot of the upcoming season.

When is Space Force season 2 out on Netflix?

Netflix has now confirmed Space Force will be returning with a second season.

The show was co-created by Steve Carell and Greg Daniels and is all about a new branch of the armed forces called Space Force.

This comes after the first season of the hit comedy aired on the streaming platform in May 2020.

Usually, Netflix aims to air its shows around the same time each year.

However, this has been thrown into flux by the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic halting multiple productions.

According to Deadline, the show is due to begin production on its second outing in Vancouver in 2021.

Therefore, while no official release date has been announced yet but fans will be hoping to see it in late 2021 or early 2022.

What will happen in Space Force season 2?

No official plot details have been released yet for the new season.

However, it is expected to pick up after the cliffhanger ending of the first outing.

Fans will remember the Space Force team were on the verge of war with their Chinese counterparts on the Moon.

Habitat One had headed to enact sabotage on them, only to return to find their own base destroyed.

As well as this, viewers will hopefully see what’s next for Maggie (played by Lisa Kudrow) after she managed to escape from prison.
