Robert Lewandowski has been awarded a lego version of the Ballon d’Or from Polish rapper Quebonafide.

Lewandowski took to Instagram to pose with the lego structure after the 2020 Ballon d’Or was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Lewandowski – who was recently named UEFA Men’s Player of the Year – would have been a serious contender for the award after he won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League treble with Bayern in 2019-20.

Lewandowski was also the top scorer in each competition with a total of 55 goals in 47 games.

The striker took to Instagram to pose alongside and thank Quebonafide for the ‘great trophy’ he built.

Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies was equally disappointed that Lewandowski was unable to pick up the 2020 Ballon d’Or due to the cancellation of the ceremony. 

He told he Bundesliga’s official channel: ‘Lewandowski is a guy who scores goals for fun and he is a great player.

‘The thing that upset most of us was that he did not win the Ballon d’Or this year because they cancelled it. 

‘This year was his year because he won everything that there is to win at club level and he was the best goalscorer and best player.
