Donald Trump ‘remains a hero among millions’ but 'more dangerous than ever' – expert

Mr Trump will be the first incumbent president in four decades to be defeated in a presidential election. This comes after his niece Mary Trump announced to Channel 4 News that he aims to “take everyone down with him”. Mr Trump has been branded as behaving like a “wounded animal” and it has been claimed he could vindictively fill Government positions and courts with his preferred appointees before Biden attains power on January 20.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, political expert Tori Malvern said: “Like a wounded animal, Trump is more dangerous today than he ever was while comfortably sitting in the Oval Office.

“He will remain a hero among millions of the Republican electorate.

“Any resistance to his plans will be fiercely met by his loyalists.”

Mr Trump told how he would not yet concede to Mr Biden whilst playing golf in Virginia.

As president he still carries the right to pardon himself for any wrongdoing he may have done.

He has granted clemency to supporters before.

The current president commuted the criminal sentence of political consultant Roger Stone.

Mr Stone was sentenced to prison after being convicted of lying under oath.

In the past Mr Trump has said he had the “absolute right” to pardon himself.

In 2018 Mr Trump tweeted: “As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to pardon myself.

“But why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?

“In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (and others) continues into the mid-terms!”
