The FA will pay tribute to Nobby Stiles when England play the Republic of Ireland at Wembley next week.
The former Manchester United midfielder, who was an integral member of England’s 1966 World Cup-winning team, died aged 78 last week following a long battle with prostate cancer and dementia.
Details of the tributes will be finalised on Wednesday morning, but will include showing footage of Stiles on the screens at Wembley before kick-off next Thursday, as well as a period of silence.

Gareth Southgate is also likely to talk to his players about the legacy of Stiles and the 1966 heroes when the squad meet up for a triple-header which also includes Nations League matches against Belgium and Iceland.
The England manager is set to announce his squad for the three games later this week.
