Jamie Laing net worth: Strictly Come Dancing hopeful's astounding wealth

Jamie Laing finally gets to take a spin on Strictly Come Dancing tonight, one year after having to drop out due to injury. Famed for being one of the wealthy young socialites followed on camera in structured reality show Made in Chelsea, Jamie is known for being rich. But just how wealthy is he?

McVitie’s

Jamie’s great-grandfather, Alexander Grant, invented the popular digestive biscuit, the Jaffa cake as well and the Rich Tea around 120 years ago in Edinburgh.

Alexander Grant died in 1937, and his son-in-law Hector Laing, who is Jamie’s great uncle, took over the company.

Jamie’s father, Nicholas, has a big role in the McVitie’s business.

Nicholas – who is married to Jamie’s mother Penny Baines – reportedly remains as a silent shareholder in the company, according to OK! magazine.

Jamie joins 11 other celebrity hopefuls on Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Eastenders actress Maisie Smith, boxer Nicola Adams, radio presenter Clara Amfo, singer HRVY, politician Jacqui Smith, The Wanted singer Max George, NFL player Jason Bell, GMB presenter Ranvir Singh, actress Caroline Quentin, comedian Bill Bailey and Invictus Games medalist JJ Chalmers make up the rest of the group.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman continue as hosts, with Zoe Ball presenting It Takes Two.

Judges this year are Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig Revel Horwood, with Bruno Tonioli joining remotely for Sunday’s shows.
