Speaking of knowing what’s going on in a game, Activities are also a UI addition that players will find useful. Basically, how this works is that there are Cards that reference Activities in the previously mentioned Control Center. This little Card will give players info on their games to assist in trophy completion, objective progress, and current status.
“Activities are displayed via on-screen cards in the Control Center, which enables you to discover new gameplay opportunities, go back to things you missed, jump directly into levels or challenges you want to play, and much more,” Sony revealed when discussing this feature during the reveal. “Some Activity cards can be put in picture-in-picture mode, so you can view them without having to leave the game.”
This feature will also make it easier for those like me that have a complete goldfish brain: it makes it easier to jump back into a game and resume previous goals without having to scramble like a chicken with their head cut off.
