A Place In The Sun's Laura Hamilton returns to Instagram after 'quiet' spell with big news

Laura Hamilton, 38, has explained her absence online was due to filming an “exciting” project with fellow Dancing On Ice finalist Sam Attwater. The property expert teased that more would be revealed about their partnership soon, as she returned to the UK after filming abroad for A Place In The Sun.

Laura typed: “You may have noticed I have been a tad quiet on here since being back in the UK.

“This is because I’ve been filming something exciting with my fellow @dancingonice finalist (and winner) @samattwater…more to be revealed soon.”

The TV presenter looked flawless as she displayed a glowing tan and bronzed make-up following a post-travel pamper session.

She continued: “This morning I had a lovely LVL treatment with my gorgeous pal @nicky_signature_brows who has just set up a new small business.

The presenter struggled to learn the “hard” routines that made her “physically and mentally” exhausted, which led coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean to warn her off trying out tough combinations.

Laura told Express.co.uk her training sessions were “really hard”, recalling: “It was physically and mentally exhausting.”

She added: “Torvill and Dean make everything look incredibly easy. They make it look effortless, so when you get on the ice and do it yourself you’re like, ‘Oh God’.”

In the early days of learning routines, Laura would often struggle right up until performing live in front of the judges.

She explained: “I had a reputation that I was never able to do the routine up until the last minute.

“I would be in the dress rehearsal before the live show with Torvill and Dean saying, ‘Laura we should change this lift because you can’t do it’.

“And I would be like. ‘No no, I can do it’. They would be like, ‘But you haven’t done it once’.”

New episodes of A Place In The Sun air weekdays on Channel 4 at 4pm.
