Cold Feet's Cel Spellman talks show return after finale ‘Don’t think the door has closed'

“It started to ignite this real passion and thirst of knowledge for all things climate related and the world that we live in.

“I’ve been working with WWF since I was 15 and became an ambassador at the end of last year which was a dream, so I’ve had this beautiful relationship with them and as far as the Amazon campaign, it felt like a real necessity given the absolute urgency and the critical state that the Amazon is in.”

The former Radio 1 DJ continued: “So I actually think it’s within all our interests and it’s something we should be raising the alarm about and using our voice because of how severe the situation is and the long lasting devastating impacts of the Amazon being burnt and set on fire is unquantifiable.

“It’s going to be irreversible and if we set that precedent, then the fight against climate change is going to become a hell of a lot harder, so that was my reasoning for wanting to use my voice to help and support the campaign as much as I can.”

Everyone can support WWF’s campaign to save the Amazon. More details of how to join the fight are available at Five Ways to Help the Amazon.
