Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris this week: New rewards and Festival of the Lost latest

Trials of Osiris will be offering more weapons and armour this week and will end with the launch of the 2020 Festival of the Lost. Guardians are just hours away from stringing together wins to earn the best loot and a ticket to The Lighthouse. Rewards will not be known until Destiny 2 fans find out for themselves as Bungie never shares a list beforehand.

It should also be known that the best loot, the Flawless stuff – will take longer to confirm, but we’ll be sure to update this story as soon as we have the latest information.

The first information that will be shared will be the new map selection, with last week focusing on Dead Cliffs.

Destiny Trials of Osiris will be kicking off today, October 2, at around 6pm BST, or 10am PT if you live in the United States.

As always, Guardians will have the chance to grab new loot, which can be traded for Legendary Shards.

Returning players will want to visit Saint-14 just, who will be located in the Tower Hangar.

The Osiris reset offers a new inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

A different map and a fresh set of rewards will be available to Guardians today if they meet the requirements of the 960 Power rating needed to buy Passages.

6pm GMT is also when we will find out what new stuff Xur is bringing to the game across PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Both the Trials and Xur will be available until October 6, and this will be the day when the game’s next big event launches.

The Halloween-themed Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost will be available on Tuesday and will see the return of Eva Levante to The Tower.

Here’s what is being planned for the Festival and what will be available until November 3, with Bungie telling fans this week:

“The Haunted Forest is back and filled with ghoulish enemies. This year, we’ve added five chests to the end of the activity for five times the loot!

“To open the chests, you are going to need some Cipher Decoders. Talk to Spider to get started and then they will drop from playing any of your favorite activities across the solar system – similar to Umbral Engrams. Braytech Werewolf and Horror Story will both be rewarded from these chests and each have new perk combinations to hunt for.

“You’ve probably been hearing this a lot lately, but it goes double for Festival of the Lost: don’t forget to put on your mask. There are new masks available this year as well as some favorites from the past. Eva has a Masquerader Helmet which you can apply your masks to as ornaments before you head out in the world to start stockpiling candy. The mask mods for the Haunted Forest also return from last year’s event.

“Before we wrap up the event on November 3, you are going to want to complete three of the Triumphs for opening chests in the Haunted Forest. Once you finish off the required Triumphs you will be able to trade in some of your candy for a mummified Exotic Sparrow, ship, and Ghost.

“Finishing the “Wrapped and Ready” Triumph required to get the Exotic Ghost also unlocks the ability to purchase the Restless Shell Ghost pin through Bungie Rewards.”
