AMC's Soulmates: Exclusive Director's Cut Trailer

AMC’s Soulmates is a six-episode anthology series built around a tantalizing sci-fi premise – what if there was a test that could tell you, unequivocally, who your soulmate is? Would you want to know, or remain in blissful ignorance and trust fate to find your ideal partner?Since the plot sounds like a Black Mirror concept expanded across multiple episodes, it should come as no surprise that Black Mirror writer Will Bridges (who penned the Emmy-winning “USS Callister,” along with “Shut Up and Dance”) is the co-creator of Soulmates, along with Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso). Both shows seem eager to interrogate the morally murky themes of free will versus determinism and the many ways technology encroaches on our lives, for good and for ill.

Soulmates premieres on AMC on October 5 at 10 p.m. ET.
