Da Brat sat down with Kandi Burruss and talked about a few things, including relationships, and her sexuality, revealing that her ex, Allen Iverson, may have known she was bisexual, but they never talked about it. Looking back at her relationships, Da Brat opened up about the time she dated her boyfriend from the ’90s, Iverson.
The 46-year-old rapper sat down to chat with Real Housewives star Kandi Burruss for an interview that got published on Burruss’ YouTube series Speak On It. Recently, Da Brat came out as bisexual and when Kandi asked her how her relationship with Iverson was, the rapper said:
“I think he knew, but we never talked about it. I met his whole family, we never talked about it. We flew to Japan; I had never been to Japan. I was like ‘oh my God.’ It was crazy.”
She then continued, recalling how she was a “grandma’s child,” and did everything Iverson liked, also saying he made sure she was happy as well:
“I would get up in the morning, I’m a grandma’s child, I’m very domesticated, like I like cooking, I like cleaning, I like folding, I like doing stuff like that. It’s like therapeutic. I used to wake up and pick his clothes out, and cook breakfast […]. The things he liked, just to make sure he was happy, and he spoiled me and made sure I was happy.”
Although Da Brat thought he was the one, she soon realized they won’t be able to have a relationship since he had been messing with other women.
“I was like, ‘This is it!’ But then I think you know, basketball players? H**s. He had a baby mama, some kids. He had a lot of stuff going on. So it lasted for a good while. Both of my grandmothers, they were alive. They loved him. He was so sweet to them. It was good for a minute. It was good for a long time. It just didn’t work out. Too many b***hes.”
The last straw was when they were sitting outside a hotel and a half-naked woman walks up to them, saying she was looking for A.I.
I’m sitting there with him. I’m like, ‘B***h, I know you see me sitting here with this n***a. You still gon say you looking for him?’ I must have molly whopped that b***h down the hallway.”
That was pretty much the moment she realized this wasn’t the relationship she wanted to have with a man: “I said, ‘You know what, I can’t do this. I can’t do this with you.’ I just faded out, stopped answering the calls and it fizzled out. […] I was like nope. I’m done.”

Right now, Da Brat is in a relationship with Jesseca “Da Real BB Judy” Dupart. They went public this year on March 26, when the latter shared a photo of her with Da Brat, captioned “❣️ yep …..”
