Melania Trump had second wedding dress at £2m wedding to Donald for surprising reason

Melania Trump married US President Donald Trump in Florida in 2005. The ceremony had a star-studded guest list and cost an eye-watering sum of money.

After splashing out on a ring, the pair would be forgiven for having a modest wedding.

Instead, Donald and Melania opted for glamour, hosting the big day at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

The wedding was attended by the likes of Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Tony Bennett.

The celebrations reportedly came with the whopping price tag of $2.5million, or £1.96million.

Melania Trump’s wedding dress

Part of the budget was spent on Melania’s stunning custom-made gown from Dior.

The eye-catching satin dress was covered in 1,500 pearls and rhinestones and had a price tag of £76,000.

She accessorised her bridal look with a 13-foot train and 16-foot veil.

Finding one perfect dress is hard enough for most brides, but she may have had a good reason behind the switch.

Melania reportedly changed her wedding gowns during the day as the Dior dress was too heavy.

Due to the jewels and accessories, her first dress reportedly weighed 60 pounds.
