UK PM Johnson to give EU 38 days to strike Brexit deal -Telegraph

Sept 6 (Reuters) – UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to give the European Union just 38 days to strike a Brexit deal, warning that if there is no breakthrough by Oct. 15, Britain will accept “No Deal” and “move on,” The Telegraph reported on Sunday.

Johnson will make clear that the UK “cannot and will not compromise on the fundamentals of what it means to be an independent country” to get a trade deal, the newspaper said. (Reporting by Juby Babu in Bengaluru; Editing by Peter Cooney)
