He recalled his reaction to the racist abuse and admitted “words will never hurt me”.
“But as far as I was concerned, my response was not to actually go down to the level of these racists but to actually try and defeat them,” Shaun explained.
“You know, they say, ‘Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never ever hurt me.'”
Shaun’s candid admission comes following his appearance in the new Channel 5 documentary Racism: My Story, which marks 100 days since the death of George Floyd.
