According to Deadline, filming on season two will be taking place in the coming months in Freiburg and Munich.

“Thematically, t.he second season will also deal with moral and ethical issues around biohacking and genome editing.”

What will happen in Biohackers season 2?

The show follows a group of genius students at a German university involved in ground-breaking biohacking technology.

Netflix executive Rachel Eggebeen said: “Given the overwhelmingly positive response to the first season, we are thrilled to head into another season of Biohackers with Christian Ditter, Claussen+Putz and the two outstanding actresses, Luna Wedler and Jessica Schwarz in the leading roles.

“We are incredibly excited to find out how things will continue between Mia and Prof. Tanja Lorenz.”

Judging by this, viewers will be taken deeper into this ethically murke area of science and cutting-edge technology.

Is there a trailer for Biohackers season 2?

As the renewal has only just been announced, it’s far too early for any teasers or trailers.

Netflix will be dropping any promo footage closer to the time of release which is likely to be next year.

This recommission comes as the Germany television industry is proving popular with the likes of Dark, Das Boot and Unorthodox.

Horror series Hausen is also going to be coming out soon and promises to bring the scares.
