Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Lidl issue urgent food recall amid serious salmonella fears

Food products sold in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose and Lidl have been recalled. Some items could pose the risk of salmonella for those who consume them. The recall follows the possible infection of Brazil nuts that have been used in the products sold in various shops.

The website said: “If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”

The supermarket has recalled a cereal bar product as it also poses the risk of salmonella.

The affected packs are in the size 3x45g with the best before dates of end of August 2020, September 2020, October 2020, December 2020, January 2021, February 2021, March 2021 and April 2021.
