Mexico’s coronavirus deaths pass 60,000, cases top 550,000

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexico’s health ministry on Saturday reported 6,482 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection and 644 additional fatalities, bringing the total in the country to 556,216 cases and 60,254 deaths.

The government has said the real number of infected people is likely significantly higher than the confirmed cases.
