Simon and his wife Emma Gleave, who share three children together – Alfie, 12, Harry, 11, Henry, four, have both had an emotional time in lockdown.
Back in April, the actor told fans he had contracted coronavirus in a Twitter post.
Simon’s wife Emma was then left “heartbroken” after her grandmother died from COVID-19.
She wrote in view of her 11,000 followers: “881 people lost their lives today, one of those beautiful souls was my grandma!!
“Heartbroken… #stayathome Fly High Grandma… We love you.”
