Call of Duty 2020 update: New Warzone Bunker codes as fans wait for Black Ops reveal

Call of Duty 2020 teasers continue to be shared by Activision in one of the company’s longest ARG events ever. Leaks have already confirmed it but there seems very little doubt surrounding the Cold War setting of the new game. The first set of Call of Duty 2020 teasers were revealed at 5pm BST on August 10 and a series of new reveals have followed it.

This includes new tapes and footage being shared on a special ARG site, and you can see the latest for yourself by visiting the Call of Duty teaser website.

What it doesn’t contain is the release date or official trailer for the new Call of Duty Black Ops game for 2020.

We’re now passed Day 3 of the Warzone ARG event cycle and gamers have found the latest codes for Bunkers and other locations.

The Day 3 tape offered a code for a location near Prison, in a shack that was opened up by COD gamers in Plunder Mode, offering a series of new dossiers to look over.

The revamped Warzone location was opened up with the Bunker Code 72948531 and the fresh documents are now being looked over by ARG Easter egg hunters.

While we are now past Day 3 of the Warzone ARG it looks like more clues and events will be going on this week too.

According to VGC, the full reveal for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War won’t happen until near the end of August 2020.

The site also reports that a big map update is being worked on to bring Call of Duty Warzone more in line with the new Black Ops Cold War release.

However, this is being scheduled for later in the year and will reportedly bring Warzone “aesthetically in line with the game’s Cold War setting.”

Gamers are expecting the current ARG to end with a reveal date for Black Ops Cold War. And as mentioned above, this should still be happening later this month.

It all stems from the release of an alpha build for Call of Duty 2020, which was discovered on Xbox servers last month.

Codenamed ‘The Red Door’, the Call of Duty 2020 alpha build has already had its contents leaked by expert dataminer Prototype Warehouse.

It seems the campaign will take place in locations such as Germany, Russia, Vietnam, and even Nicaragua.

Multiplayer, meanwhile, will take place on maps based in everywhere from Moscow to Miami.

Elsewhere, the leaks also references the game’s new Zombies mode, as well as possible Warzone changes.

According to the leak, Warzone will add a new forest area, ski slopes, Russian location and a Duga radar POI.
