The full-back has a £1.9m release clause which has interested Sheffield United who are keen to sign the youngster.

However they could face stiff competition for his signature with both Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion interested.

A move to the Premier League would be huge for the United States international who never made a top-flight appearance during his time at Everton.

It it is considered he might have a better playing chance at West Brom, particularly with recent speculation that manager Slaven Billic is reportedly keen on listening to offers for Kieran Gibbs.

Robinson was poised to move to AC Milan back in January for a figure of around £10m.

But he was found to have an irregular heart rhythm which resulted in him being sidelined.
