A warning was issued as the products contain peanuts not mentioned on the label.

Both the Baresa Pesto Alla Genovese (Green) and Red variants are affected.

Posting on Twitter, Lidl shared a warning: “We’re recalling our Baresa Pesto 190g Alla Genovese (Green) and Red variants, with Best Before Dates up to and including 10/2022, as they may contain traces of undeclared peanuts.

“Do not eat it if you have a peanut allergy or intolerance.”

Anyone who has bought the pesto with the best before date up to October 2022 should return the item to the store.
