The New Mutants has SURPRISING X-Men and Deadpool connection confirmed

The final Fox X-Men movie, The New Mutants, is set for release at the end of the month after years of delays. And following the opening’s preview at Comic-Con at Home, more details about the X-Men horror movie have surfaced. The latest synopsis features a surprising X-Men and Deadpool movie connection for one of the characters.

It turns out that Anya Taylor-Joy’s Illyana Rasputin aka Magik is the sister of Colossus.

The New Mutants official synopsis reads: “The younger sister of Colossus, Magik becomes encased in armour at will and wields a soulsword that amplifies her multiple superhuman and psychic abilities.”

X-Men movie fans will know Colossus as Piotr Rasputin, who was played by Daniel Cudmore in the noughties X-Men trilogy and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

While Stefan Kapičić has portrayed the mutant in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool movies.

MCU Cosmic has reported on an Australian TV spot saying The New Mutants will stream on the platform from September 4.

However, Disney have responded that its a fake.

Nevertheless, the outlet has pointed out that the studio reps previously called leaked promo art for Solo: A Star Wars Story and Avengers Endgame “fake” just a few weeks before it appeared on toy packaging.

While the outlet also makes a case for why the TV spot could in fact be real.

The New Mutants follows five young mutants who have just discovered their abilities, while being held in a secret facility against their will.

The X-Men movie will see them fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.

Following the final Fox X-Men movie, the superhero team are set to rebooted in Disney’s MCU with the Avengers.

While Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will also enter the franchise and presumably make lots of meta-jokes about the studio merger.
