Helen Skelton: This Week On The Farm host addresses 'lucky escape' on show in candid post

Helen Skelton, 37, has shared an adorable behind-the-scenes snap from This Week On The Farm after spending time with a cute baby goat on the Channel 5 show. However, the presenter admitted to her 195,000 Instagram followers that she narrowly avoided a more messy encounter with the little animal.

Helen addressed her “lucky escape” alongside a series of snaps of her sitting in on a bale of hay with the cheeky goat climbing over her shoulders.

She could be seen smiling for the camera in her first two photos, as the farm animal balanced on her suede jacket.

The situation changed slightly in the final snap Helen posted, in which she was pictured looking concerned while the goat showed off its backside to the camera.

Helen then revealed she was relived “no goat did any of its business down her back” during the filming session.

She captioned the photos: “Insta versus reality…..not sure how, but no goat did any of its business down my back during this.

“Lucky escape. @onthefarmc5 @cannonhallfarm continues this eve xxxx #goats #farms #farminglife #presenters #telly #rural #rurallife #goats #babygoats #animals #cannonhallfarm.”

Helen’s Countryfile co-star Matt Baker was one of her followers to comment on her funny near miss.

He simply wrote: “Love it,” alongside a red heart emoji.

The hilarious moment took place when the presenter and her co-star Jules Hudson, 50, caught up with farmers Rob and Dave on the latest episode of the show, in which the pair got an insight into the farmers’ goat playground creation.

Discussing the event, Helen asked if any of the goats stood out from the herd.

He replied: “They’re all characters really, they’ve got a unique personality, we really love them.”

Jules went on to say he would love to visit the goat playground himself, which made Helen giggle.

As she went on to find out more information, one of the goats in the background could be heard making a loud continuous noise.

Jokingly hitting back, the presenter shouted: “Fearne you’ve had your moment!”

Turning back to the farmers, she added: “You’d have to get some serious sterling equipment to build a playground for her to trail over.”

Earlier on in the episode, the host admitted to viewers she was “desperate” to sneak one of the goats home.
