‘The money is in the youth’ reads their front page on Tuesday as they report the summer firesale of those struggling to get game time.

AS say that Real have also concluded there won’t be much interest for Wales star Bale this summer with his £350,000-a-week wage demands prohibitive for most clubs.

The sales of other members of the squad will help fund potential moves for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek and Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes.

Defender Achraf Hakimi has already signed for Inter Milan in a deal worth £35m following two years out on loan at Borussia Dortmund, while Javi Sanchez has agreed a move to Real Valladolid.

Striker Borja Mayoral, 23, has made 31 first-team appearances, scoring seven goals, but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Levante.
