Kevin Clifton addresses girlfriend Stacey Dooley's big 'complaint' with Strictly star

Kevin Clifton, 37, and Stacey Dooley, 33, wowed audiences with their impressive choreography on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 with the pair lifting the Glitterball Trophy. Months after their win, the couple embarked on a romance as the Latin champion opened up about his now-girlfriend.

The pair have been holed up at home together during the nationwide lockdown following the coronavirus pandemic.

The dancer detailed how Stacey is really coping with her beau during lockdown.

Kevin explained the pair “never argue” but admitted there is one topic that he claimed was Stacey’s main “complaint”.

“She [Stacey] was swapping stories with some friends who asked, ‘How are you finding lockdown with your partner?’” Kevin told The Guardian.

“And she said, ‘Me and Kev don’t argue – we get on well as mates as well as a couple.”

Kevin continued: “The only thing I can complain about is that sometimes he wants to have a big conversation about the nature of consciousness.

“And, most of the time, I don’t want to have a big conversation about the nature of consciousness.’”

The professional dancer commented that Stacey is not too keen on discussing those areas of conversation.

Speaking on his self-titled podcast The Kevin Clifton Show, the Latin champion addressed his ongoing fears for his future career.

He was joined on the show by his Strictly partner Susan Calaman who took part in the dance competition back in 2017.

“This is the time where I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this or that. I always thought I’d have a go at writing. I feel sort of positive about it all,” Kevin mused.

“And then there are days when you listen to an interview and someone says, ‘The whole [theatre] industry might collapse. There’s not going to be a theatre industry.'”
