Kelvin Fletcher: Strictly star gets ‘goosebumps’ as he RETURNS to Emmerdale set after exit

Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher, 36, was in for some serious nostalgia as he returned to the set of Emmerdale today. The actor admitted it had “been years” since he last visited the ITV series’ studios after leaving his role as Andy Sugden in 2016.

Sharing the surprising moment in a video he uploaded in view of his 366,000 Instagram followers this afternoon, Kelvin explained why he had made a comeback to the set.

Kelvin initially teased fans by sharing his view of the set as he walked past it and exclaimed: “Look where I am!

“It’s been years, it’s been years since I was here.”

However, the star was quick to clarify the real reason he was there, before Emmerdale viewers got “excited” about his potential return to the soap.

“I felt comfortable and confident in myself, so I wanted to at least give it a go and try other things. But it’s testament to Emmerdale that I felt confident to pursue another challenge.”

He also didn’t rule out returning to play Andy again, adding: “I’d leave any exciting future storylines in the capable hands of the talented producers, storylines and writers.

“For me as an actor, I still feel like I could give more with the part of Andy and I always will.

“But at this moment in time, I want to try a different challenge.”

Elsewhere, Kelvin admitted he was the Strictly contestant who “kissed some a**e” to win over the judges during last year’s series.

The actor said while catching up with his fellow Strictly stars on Michelle Visage’s BBC show How’s Your Head Hun?: “I kissed some a**e, I’ll say it myself…

“Because my only aim was to get Craig [Revel Horwood] to stand up and applaud but he never did.”

Laughing, Michelle replied: “Alright then, my vote will go to Kelvin, why not?”
