Gethin Jones admits he's 'worried' about looking like an 'idiot' after MasterChef move

Finally, Gethin went onto remark on his cooking skills being “much better now”.

He stated: “What you learn on the show in a short space of time is phenomenal. You get so into it and you start practising like mad.”

Talking about practising at home, he added: “At one point my freezer was full with 60 salmon fillets. It was salmon for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

The last group of five well-known faces will see tennis coach Judy Murray, broadcaster and internet personality Riyadh Khalaf, Olympic gold medallist and sports presenter Sir Matthew Pinsent, TV personality Pete Wicks, and actor Crissy Rock take on the challenges next week.

As well as Gethin and Amar, Judi Love, Thomas Skinner, Sam Quek and Phil Daniels are also through to the next round.

Celebrity MasterChef continues Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
