His father, the Duke of Edinburgh, and sons Harry and William are also rumoured to follow this plan.

The new version of the Royal Canadian Air Force exercise plan is what keeps Prince Phillip, Charles, William and Harry so fit.

The plan was developed by Dr Bill Oban in the late 1950s, and is known as the 5BX Plan. The new version is simply known as the BX Plan.

The name stands for Five Basic exercises because that’s exactly what it involves: stretching, sit-ups, back extensions, push-ups and running on the spot.

So how can you keep fit in your 60s, 70s and beyond? This plan is ideal for people of all ages.
