Call of Duty DOWN: COD Warzone and Modern Warfare server news

A growing number of COD fans are reporting that Call of Duty servers are down tonight on PS4.

While the problems do not appear to be affecting COD Warzone and Modern Warfare multiplayer modes worldwide, issues are still being flagged.

This includes not being able to connect with friends in groups and not being able to connect with game servers.

It’s unclear what has caused tonight’s issues or how long they might last across PS4, Xbox One and PC.

For now, the Activision support page has not been updated with any new downtime or maintenance information.

The one message that can be found states: “As the global COVID-19 situation evolves, we’re taking cautionary steps to help protect our employees as much as possible. As a result, you may experience increased waiting times or severely reduced live chat and support availability when contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

While connecting to online service may remain patchy over the next hour or so, there’s a good chance that normal service will be back for most gamers very soon.

If things take a turn for the worse, we would expect a notification from Activision on the current Call of Duty server status support pages.
