Nicole Thea’s family address pregnant YouTube star’s death ‘She was struggling to breathe'

YouTube star Nicole Thea died at home aged 24, while eight months pregnant. Her uncle has now spoken out about her death, referring to the tragedy as a “total shock”.

The social media star’s uncle said Nicole had been complaining to her boyfriend Boga about chest and back pains.

It is believed she was also having difficulties with breathing in the weeks leading up to her tragic death.

Nicole’s family have now revealed they believe she suffered from a heart attack.

Uncle Charles Murray told the Daily Mail online: “From what I heard at the moment, we think she had a massive heart attack.

“She had it in her house and she was telling her partner that she had pains in her chest and her back.

“Nicole was saying that she was struggling to breathe. She was struggling with her chest – she had a pain in her chest.”

Charles went on to say the family have been left “really shaken up” following Nicole’s death and said she had no known underlying health issues.

A post-mortem will take place at a later date.

The social media sensation was eight months pregnant with a boy she had already named Reign.

The YouTube star’s mother Samantha Antoine confirmed the news of her death on Instagram last Sunday.

She wrote: “Our hearts are truly broken.

“To all Nicole’s friends and supporters it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son she and [partner] Boga named Reign sadly passed away on Saturday morning.

“Nicole [had] pre-scheduled a few YouTube videos and Boga has made the decision to allow them to be aired.

“As a family we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened.”
