Brigitte Macron looks pretty in pink with chic dress for Bastille Day – but no mask

France celebrated Bastille Day on Tuesday with a very different event due to the coronavirus pandemic. The national event marks the anniversary of a turning point in the French revolution. The special ceremony was attended by President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.

Brigitte teamed the glamorous outfit with coordinating stiletto shoes as she greeted their guests.

The pastel pink heels with contrasting pointed silver toes perfectly matched the French First Lady’s outfit.

Brigitte also showed off her blonde locks with an impressive blow dry, while her skin looked naturally tanned against the pale fabric.

The accessorised the look with a tiny matching silver clutch bag.

However, Brigitte chose not to wear a face mask for the occasion, for the second day in a row.

Many of the guests at the ceremony were spotted wearing face coverings even though they were in the open air, but not always social distancing.

Masks are compulsory on public transport and in secondary schools in France.

However, Brigitte chose not to wear a face mask for the Bastille Day celebrations.

Her husband, President Emmanuel Macron, was also going mask-free for the occasion.

However, on Monday night the French president wore a white mask while addressing the French Military Forces at the Hotel de Brienne.

His wife Brigitte opted out of the protective mask, spurring some criticism from the public.

However, for both events Brigitte wore oversized sunglasses with her outfits.
