Amazon Echo users must make sure they don't say these words to Alexa

Devices such as the Amazon Echo have specific wake words that signal when these voice assistants will be listening in to you.

But the LeakyPick platform has identified 89 other words that allegedly can bring Alexa from its slumber, according to a post by VentureBeat.

The research, based on the LeakyPick study, categorised the likelihood of these words waking Alexa up.

These words were ranked from a two out of 10 possibility of activating Alexa to a 10 out of 10 chance.

Words that the study said the highest chance of waking Alexa included names such as Alyssa and Electra and the words elixir, mixer and lecter.

Other words the research found could activate Alexa included letter, eloper, hyper, lesser and irksome.
