It looks like Kanye West has a new famous supporter on his way to the White House! Chance The Rapper made it very clear on social media that he is going to vote for the fellow rapper and, as you can imagine, a lot of users are not happy about it!
As far as Twitter is concerned, endorsing Kanye West would just pretty much be helping re-elect Donald Trump!
The backlash started with Chance the Rapper telling his followers that he completely ‘trusts’ his close pal, Kanye West would make a great president.
Therefore, he quote-tweeted the clip originally shared by Kanye on his late mom’s birthday, adding: ‘And y’all out here tryn convince me to vote for Biden. Smfh.’
Soon after, many flooded his comment section to point out that voting for Kanye would only result in helping Donald Trump win for a second term.
CNN’s Keith Boykin even tweeted at Chance the Rapper that ‘If you use your platform to encourage Black people to vote for Kanye, who has no chance of being elected you’ll simply help re-elect racist Donald Trump.’
One follower also commented: ‘Trump thanks you for your service.’
‘Tweeting this is irresponsible even if it’s a joke,’ another also criticized the star.
But despite the arguments against voting for Kanye brought by many, Chance argued back that the only reason why voters aren’t voting for Ye is the fact that they are not willing to go outside the two-party system in America.

That being said, he wondered if there was really a better person to vote for in the election this fall.
More specifically, he also wanted to know why so many think Joe Biden would be the better choice.

‘Kanye’s candidacy’s a joke, but I will take Chance’s question seriously. Where do I even start? Kanye knows nothing about policy, has zero experience, called slavery a choice, backed Trump, he is an anti-vaxxer, etc. Biden has experience and plans for climate change, race, the economy, etc,’ one follower replied but it looks like Chance is still not convinced since he agreed to disagree, although he admitted he understood where the person was coming from.
