SHEFFIELD UTD 2-0 CHELSEA | MCBURNIE

32: GOAL! The Blades are in ecstasy – even Chris Wilder is smiling. Sheffield United double their lead over Champions League chasing Chelsea and it’s Oli McBurnie with the goal.

Enda Stevens plays a simple one-two before crossing into the middle, where McBurnie is completely unmarked and plants a bullet header past Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Chelsea ‘defending’ will come under the microscope there. Willian, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen all in the firing line.

29: Ross Barkley makes himself a yard over on the left flank and gets a cross into the middle that’s thumped clear.

26: Chelsea with plenty of the ball but they’ve not offered much going forward. It’s all in front of Sheffield United. They’ll take that all day.

23: Drinks break! Sheffield United are just so honest. Every single player puts in 100%, 100% of the time. And when you’re safe from relegation and had a cracking season – that’s not an easy thing to do. Credit to Chris Wilder.

20: David McGoldrick has scored his very first Premier League goal; it took him 42 shots and 1615 minutes to do so. Relief.

9: Chelsea respond with an opportunity of their own. It’s Reece James down this right channel and the 20-year-old sweeps a lovely cross through the six-yard box that Christian Pulisic arrives to head over. Nice tempo to this match. No conservation of energy or any of that nonsense.

7: Another update, another Sheffield United opportunity. The Blades win their second corner of the evening. Kepa Arrizabalaga’s initial punch is really poor and Ben Osborn arrives to fire it high, high into the stands.

5: Booked! Christian Pulisic spins George Baldock in the middle of the park and the Sheffield Utd star gives him the WWE clothesline. I doubt Chris Wilder will be too bothered by that.

3: Chance! Sheffield United straight out of the traps! The Blades very nearly grab the opener inside the first 30 seconds when Jack O’Connell collects a long ball down the left channel and pings it inside for Oli McBurnie. Mason Mount hacks it away and Chelsea survive.
