Jack Grealish has major Man Utd transfer problem with sacrifice needed to complete move

Manchester United are still hoping to sign Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attempts to complete his squad overhaul in the next window.

The Red Devils are weighing up a £50million move but talks are not expected to begin until Villa’s Premier League fate is decided.

A discount may be offered if Dean Smith’s side drop down to the Championship given the financial hit they will take.

However, former Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara does not think Grealish will be guaranteed a starting berth if he moves to Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old will have to sacrifice regular football to link up with Solskjaer’s squad.

“I think he has been brilliant, he has been fantastic, but where does he play in that team?” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

“If you have got Martial and Rashford, Dan James and Mason Greenwood as the front three.

“You have then got Bruno Fernandes as the No 10 and he is absolutely fantastic.

“Where does Grealish play? I don’t think you can play Pogba, Grealish and Fernandes in midfield.

“You need to have a different type of player like Scott McTominay who breaks the play up.

“Last game they caused us some problems, both Grealish off the left and [Anwar] El Ghazi off the right,” the Norwegian said. “He scored a fantastic goal.

“There’s been lots said about him, and we need to be aware of him. He attracts players to him and creates space for others.

“There’s not just one player in that Villa team, there’s many of them.”
