Aldi news: Supermarket confirms when school uniforms will be on sale

With parents having to homeschool their children during the coronavirus lockdown, it may have been a while since they saw their little ones wear a uniform. But as schools slowly let pupils come back to the classroom, it will no doubt be time to see if it still fits. However, parents looking to buy a fresh uniform this summer will be pleased to know a value range is coming back.

Aldi has a reputation for being one of the cheapest supermarkets, with weekly offers as part of its Special Buys.

The supermarket releases new products each week, which are previewed on its website and in its leaflet which is now available online.

The Special Buys include everything from garden furniture to homeware, clothing and cooking essentials.

But this summer parents will be pleased to know that its cheap school uniforms are coming back – and the brand has confirmed the date that the range will be available.

Aldi shared the news on social media, telling parents to “Save the date”.

“Our amazing school uniforms are returning this summer, with incredible value and fantastic quality, you won’t want to miss out!” the brand wrote on Twitter.

The Back to School event is already on its website, though you can’t yet make any purchases.

The range will drop online from August 9, and will be in stores from August 13 2020.

The school collection will include jumpers, shirts, skirts, trousers and pinafores, as well as other accessories.

According to the website it also includes £2.99 jogging bottoms and a two-pack of white t-shirts for £1.79 which will be perfect for those PE lessons.

There are also socks, leather shoes and backpacks so you can get your children fully kitted out on a budget.

Plus, Aldi has highlighted the sustainable credentials of its upcoming range with some clothes stamped with a logo to say they’ve been made with recycled materials.

The value clothing is also easy to care for, to make parents’ lives easier, with easy-iron and tumble dryer-safe fabrics throughout.

But of course no back to school shop is complete without new stationery, and the supermarket has plenty of that to keep the kids happy in its Special Buys range.

The event will have offers on pens, pencils, notebooks, and pencil cases, as well as drinks bottles and Bento boxes for their packed lunch.

You’ll have to be quick though, as when it’s gone it’s gone – and last year’s sold out fast due to the incredibly low prices.
